Here i have created two reader profiles showing who I would expect to be reading my magazine.
Reader Profile 1
James is 36 and is obsessed with all kinds of rock. He listens to all sub genres within rock such as pop rock indie rock and also the harder rock like heavy metal. He knows how to play the guitar and bass guitar as well as drums. In his university days, whenever he could find the time he would go to any gig or concert available as well as participating in a band with his fellow students and they would also play gigs. He loves catching up with his old pals who he describes as ‘real muso people’ and they get together and have a jam or two. He isn’t too keen on attending gigs as regularly as he did but he always makes sure he goes to Glastonbury. To make sure he keeps up to date he is constantly buying rock magazines and is currently teaching his child how to play the guitar and the drums.
Reader Profile 2
Matt, 20, is a rock fan. He goes to many rock concerts and also enjoys spending his time at music festivals supporting all the new acts. He prefers soft rock from its punchy beat and memorable tunes. He occasionally works at McDonald's as a part time job but is currently at university studying Art. Instead of buying music digitally, he likes going to record shops and spends`most of his disposable income on vinyls. It gives music a more retro feel. Currently he lives with his parents due to the high cost of student housing but that means he can spend more money on music. He likes all of the new technology.
